But when you build a home with Minto, you can rest assured that we’re with you every step of the way from your personalized tour of the community to our exclusive MasterCareSM Quality Assurance Program.
Here’s what you can expect and when:
1.Home Selection.
This is the first step in building your new dream home! Our team will help you select your homesite, floor plan, elevation and structural options. We’ll also help you complete a mortgage application and obtain written mortgage approval.
2. Sealing the Deal.
Your new home sales professional will help you complete the purchase agreement and process your loan application.
3. The Fun Part.
This is our favorite step in the process—personalizing your home! Within 21 days from the date of contract, you’ll select your desired interior finishes and colors, including the flooring, cabinets, countertops, appliances and everything else that makes your home uniquely yours.
4. Meet Your Builder.
About 60 days from the date of contract, you’ll meet your personal Minto builder who will support, educate and involve you in every step of the creation of your new home.
5. How We Build Tour.
Depending on the type of home you choose, we’ll take you on a “How We Build” tour between 120 and 180 days from the date of contract. During the tour, your Minto builder will confirm your design selections and the structural and mechanical systems of your new home, and show you the quality construction and attention to detail behind the walls prior to drywall installation.
6. Final Walkthrough.
Before closing day, your Minto representative will demonstrate the features of your new home and offer useful maintenance tips.
7. New Home Celebration.
Welcome home! On closing day, we hand you the keys to your brand new Minto home.
8. Post-Move-In Visits.
After a month of being comfortably settled in your home, your Minto MasterCare representative will arrange a visit to answer any questions and make sure that your new home is everything you expected. We’ll visit you again after six months and at the end of your first year of homeownership.
