Upcoming Design Trends for 2019

It never ceases to amaze us how much interior design continues to evolve over the years. Many trends come, go and eventually resurface. Some fade away into irrelevance and a few others stand the test of time. While everyone’s homes and tastes differ, it’s always interesting to see which design trends are on the rise and which are on their way out (for now).

Here are five trends to look out for in 2019:

Color, Color, Color!

While greys and other cool neutrals look nice in just about any room, we love seeing the resurgence of color! Deep jewel tones and other bold statement colors are increasingly being chosen for paint colors and main furniture pieces.

Curves Ahead

If you’re looking for a departure from clean lines and edges, embrace the curves! From plush, velvety sofas to contemporary chairs, feel free to take your design outside the lines.

Not-So-Basic Black Kitchens

Who would have thought that black paint would be breath of fresh air? In 2019, we’re expecting to see complete 180 from the all-white kitchen trend. Black matte cabinets give a sleek, sophisticated look to any kitchen.

Bring the Outdoors In

Nature never goes out of style! Plants are the easiest way to add natural elements to your home. You can also incorporate warm, natural textures and fabrics to create an earthy oasis.

4

Spice Up Your Ceiling

Bold colors and prints don’t have to be reserved for walls and furniture. Statement ceilings can add a fun pop of color or texture to any room.
